Every year Lehi has their round up days...which includes a big rodeo. We didn't go to the rodeo, I'm pretty sure the majority of our kids wouldn't enjoy it as much as they should so we opted out of that. We did get to some of the other festivities of the week.The BBQ, with my mom.
They served BBQ chicken sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw (definitely not my favorite thing), and those BIG pink grandma sugar cookies. You can guess what the girls wanted to eat. Katelyn at least ate half her BBQ sandwich and was able to share a cookie with her mom. Elli was so against the sandwich she just drank her water and didn't get the cookie. All was soon forgotten though as the girls set their eyes upon the blow up piece of heaven.
There was a HUGE blow up slide thing...and the girls wanted to slide down. 
They climbed up fine, 
and down came Katelyn.

this was all the picture we could get, but I will have a mental picture forever of her look of terror. And right after she got off, and was consumed with a panic filled cry she mustered up an "again". Crazy girl!
We also got a lot of good playground time in...even with the crowd.
And then on Saturday we went to the parade, with Nathan's Dad. 
Katelyn and Elli (mostly Elli) LOVED running out in the street to get the candy. Don't worry, it was safe. I think that was their favorite part. Wesley even caught a tootsie roll...right on his lap!
Both were so much fun for the kids. There are lots more activities going on through out the week for round up days, maybe next year we'll try more. Although you won't see me at the "dance in the dirt" in the rodeo arena...after 3 days of animal filled fun had just happened there.

what a cute face that Wesley has (not that the girls don't have cute faces too) but Wesley's grin and sparkly eyes wins my "print it out and put it on the wall constest!"
Wesley looks like a big kid in that first picture! They grow up way too fast.
